❌ Aerodactyl

Pterodactyls are reptiles, not dinosaurs.

⭕ Porygon family

Porygon is loosely an origami crane, while animations for Porygon2 have it bobbing like a drinking bird toy!

❓ Lugia

This one's up for debate. I see Lugia as a "bird dragon", but you could also argue that it's a purebreed dragon with no avian ties. Its Pokédex entries lack clarification on the matter.

❌ Ludicolo

While it has a duck/platypus bill, Lotad's evolutionary line is closer to the kappa yōkai.

⭕ Latias & Latios

More bird dragons. Aside from feathers being explicitly mentioned in the Pokédex, an official pre-alpha sketch exists of an unused Blaziken/Latias character that the twins likely spun off from.

⭕ Cresselia

Out of all of Bulbapedia's suggestions, Lindu (Estonian goddess of birds) is the strongest example in favor of Cresselia being a bird. Pokémon Legends: Arceus references the "heavenly maiden who created the Milky Way", which is what Lindu accomplished with her tears.

⭕ Sigilyph

Called the "Avianoid" Pokémon in the Pokédex. Its design invokes imagery of kachina dolls or totem poles.

⭕ Type: Null & Silvally

Put simply: a chimera.

⭕ Tapu Koko

Similar to Sigilyph, Tapu Koko embodies a bird. It may also be a Thunderbird similar to Zapdos. "Koko" references a Hawaiian onomatopoeia for rooster crows.

⭕ Dracozolt & Arctozolt

Fossil chimeras. At least half of their compositions are of dinosaurs.

❓ Walking Wake, Gouging Fire, & Raging Bolt

All three are dinosaur spins on the legendary beasts. However, Gouging Fire and Raging Bolt don't feel far enough removed from their catlike origins, at least to me.

Walking Wake is a theropod and therefore the closest of the trio to birds, so I'm including it in my collection.
